Kelli Neptune is the Executive Director of the DC Bar Pro Bono Center which is the largest provider of pro bono civil legal services in the District of Columbia. Attorney Neptune earned her undergraduate and law degrees from Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia. She worked for almost ten years at the Public Defender Service for the District of Columbia (PDS) where she represented juveniles and adults charged with misdemeanors and serious felonies. She also represented clients in housing and neglect cases and litigated appellate cases before the District of Columbia Court of Appeals. While at PDS, Kelli conducted numerous trainings for judges, attorneys, staff, and investigators. She also served as the Deputy Trial Chief of the General Felony Section and the Senior Deputy Trial Chief for the Trial Division. She founded the Law Office of Kelli I. Neptune, LLC and represented clients in family and criminal matters in the District of Columbia and Maryland. She also served as a certified civil mediator and a volunteer mediator for the District Court of Maryland. Kelli has been an adjunct and visiting professor at Georgetown University Law School and Howard University School of Law. Prior to joining the DC Bar, she was the Director of Externships and Public Interest Programming at Howard University School of Law.
